BUILD

When everything is decided and all dimensions are confirmed with your contractor, we handbuild your custom kitchen from scratch in our workshop in Kent. Every item is hand-finished to perfection.

DELIVER

At the agreed time, your kitchen is delivered by the Koivu team of experts. Because we deliver the furniture fully assembled our team or your own fitter can complete most kitchens in a few days.

Koivu kitchens are made to measure. All of the cupboards, drawer units and other components of your kitchen are built in our factory to precise dimensions taken from your plans and are delivered as whole pieces. There are no standard sizes, no flat-pack units and no assembly is required. At Koivu we take ‘bespoke’ seriously!

SUSTAINABLE
& DURABLE

Koivu kitchen furniture is manufactured using the highest quality Finnish birch plywood. This material, created from sustainably forested birch trees, is famous for its durability, rigidity, moisture resistance and the crisp, clean lines it produces. What’s more our kitchens produce the lowest VOC emissions on the market today.

We chose Koivu as we wanted our kitchen made from ply Formica. We looked at three firms that could make the kitchen, but Koivu was the only one which would help with the design. Keren and Doug took time to listen to what we wanted and provided lots of great ideas and a number of different kitchen designs – for us to pick and choose the bits we needed to make our small kitchen more user friendly. Doug then visited us to ensure our measurements were all correct, to discuss the design and make some practical tweaks to it (once he’d seen the kitchen in the flesh).

Once we were happy with the design, Doug fit it himself. Doug is a true craftsman and we couldn’t speak highly enough of the work he did – the kitchen looks fantastic and is fabulously practical!

The kitchen was completed in the timeframe that Doug said it would be and It didn’t cost a penny more than Koivu quoted. We couldn’t be happier with the end result.

We had a great experience with Doug in the supply of our kitchen. We were first attraction by the unique look of materials used and the contemporary style. As a small scale bespoke kitchen supplier the quality of materials and workmanship was excellent. Equally important and much to our surprise Doug`s quote was competitive when compared to other national kitchen companies. We had the kitchen fitted by a qualified fitter who said it was one of the best and easiest kitchens he had ever installed. The install was completed very quickly and much sooner than the fitter expected. When we asked Doug to come back and make 1 or 2 minor adjustments the responded promptly and nothing was to much trouble for him.

Douglas first built a kitchen for me a few years back. He was easy to work with, had great ideas but also listened to our wishes. I loved the kitchen so much that I got him to build another one last year after I had moved.

For my current kitchen we used a combination of orange Formica and plywood. It looks stunning and everyone who visits comments on it.

The workmanship is of a high standard and Douglas has great attention to detail.
